Rainwater Harvesting System by Niche Gardens
This featured project encompasses several of the interest areas that Niche Gardens Landscaping, Inc enjoys working on: landscaping, rock work, pond-less waterfall and lighting. However, this project went one step further to employ another very special interest, rainwater harvesting.
The water feature was integrated as the finishing touch on existing landscaping and hardscapes previously installed by NGL. Since its installation, the homeowner has been able to enjoy the added pleasure of the sound of running water in her backyard oasis, her three small dogs love it too!
The water feature uses rainwater that is recovered from a downspout and is piped to a 200 gallon below ground basin. The pond-less aspect minimizes the maintenance involved with a pond yet provides the sight and sound of running water. In a time when water resources have been known to become scarce and restrictions have been enacted, it is encouraging to promote environmentally friendly and sustainable systems that allow us to keep building and enjoying ponds and waterfall features.
Niche Gardens Landscaping, Inc is a residential landscaping company based in Powder Springs, GA and has been a registered business since 1999.
